Instructions how to insert the straps of the Tefillin shel yad

Outward wrapping straps Put the strap with the knot to the side of the Tefillin that it will rest. Place a string through the opening "meavarta" of the Tefillin. Loop the string through the loop of the strap. Carefully pull the strap through the opening, "meavarta" of the Tefillin. Put the end of the strap through the loop.
